Jack Holford

Jack L. Holford, age 88, of Peoria Heights, passed away Friday, March 23, 2018 at 10:42 a.m. at Morton Villa in Morton. He was born Oct. 21, 1929 in Peoria to Judd and Burnette (Blue) Holford. He married Doris Bomhold on April 18, 1950 in Peoria. She passed away Nov. 21, 2013 in Peoria. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Gayla Jean, Linda, two sons, Audie, Jeff, and numerous brothers and sisters.

Survivors include nine children: Jack Holford of Trenton, GA, Fred (Linda) Holford of Creve Coeur, Steve (Bev) Holford of Peoria, Scott Holford of Peoria, Yvonne (Tommy) Powers of Washington, Doris (Michael) Doubet of East Peoria, Randy Holford of Washington, William Holford of Peoria, and John Holford of Chicago. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and two sisters: Berniece Orwig of Wyoming, IL, and Judy Holford of Creve Coeur.

Jack worked in Wholesale Grocery Sales for Chris Hoerr & Son for over 30 years retiring in 1985. He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Peoria.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
