Mrs Janet R. Durr

Janet was born November 9, 1934 in Peoria the daughter of Eugene & Emma (Hauck) Short. She married William D. Durr in Peoria on November 30, 1962.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years; one son, William (Diane) Durr of Washington; one daughter, Susan (Sean)Reed of Streator; one step-son Kenton Durr of Duncannon, PA; one sister Jean Ann (Maurice) Stephens of Dunlap; one Nephew, Paul (LeeAnn)Stephens of Dunlap; three grandchildren, Alaina and Brendan Durr, and Leah Rose Reed.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran, where she enjoyed being in the Quilting circle.

Janet loved spending time with friends and family and had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren.

Services will be Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel at 2021 N. University Street, Peoria, Il 61604. Rev. Michaels Jones will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday evening February 29, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. till time of service on Thursday.

Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis or donor’s choice.
