

He was born on January 20, 1947 in Evansville, IN to Herbert and Lenora (Allen) Randall.
He married Beverly Sue Crichton on June 13, 1992 in Olney, IL. She survives.
Jerry is also survived by daughter, Tammy (Steve) Boyd; beloved granddog, Griffin; son, Jerry Kirk (Stephanie) Randall; grandson, Jerry Stephen Randall; sister, Rebecca (Tom) Prichard; special sister in laws, nieces, nephews and an extended loving family. Jerry also is survived by his longtime best friend, Tim Delinksi who went above and beyond for Jerry and his friend and legion brother, Larry Frank.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gary Randall.
Jerry served in the United States Air Force from 1965-1969. Upon his release from the military, Jerry graduated from ISU in 1974 and became a teacher for Peoria Public Schools for 33 years. He worked as a teacher and coach spending most of his career serving the students at Harrison and Trewyn Schools. Jerry was a member of the Peoria Federations of Teachers as a building rep and also served on negotiating teams. He was also recognized as a Teacher of the month award.
During that time Jerry became a devoted romantic husband to his wife Beverly Sue for 29 years. Jerry’s commitment to her was unparalled, sending her flowers every month and writing poems to express his feelings for her.
Upon his retirement from teaching he became an active member of the American Legion Post 2. First as a member of the Honor Guard and a strong supporter of the Greater Peoria Honor Flight and then becoming the President of the building committee and was Senior Vice Commander at the time of his death.
Jerry’s hobbies included his love of music, his movie idol John Wayne, muscle cars and researching his family history. He was an IHSA softball and basketball official. He was an avid woodworker which entailed making gifts from scratch, something that he took great pride in creating.
On behalf of all of Jerry’s family we would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to the entire OSF and Cancer Center staff for their unrelenting care and dedication to our Jerry. We will always be eternally grateful.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022 also at the funeral home. Chaplain Thomas Gramley will officiate.
Burial with military honors will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
