Kimberly Ann Shay, 73, of Peoria, IL, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at her home. Kim was born on May 20, 1952 to her parents, Robert and Marjorie Donovan (nee Grant) in Peoria IL. Kim married Philip Shay on April 6, 1974 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on May 3, 2010, as well as her parents.
Left to cherish Kim's memory is her loving family, sons, Jim Shay (Irish) of Phoenix, AZ and Patrick Shay of Peoria, IL; one daughter, Molly Shay of Peoria; a sister, Kelly Moettler; five grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
Kim worked for Richwoods High School as a secretary before she retired after 23 years.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 5-7pm at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Following the visitation there will be a gathering for a Celebration of Life at Donnelly's Irish Pub at 4501 N Rockwood Dr, Peoria, IL. A graveside inurnment will be held at Parkview Cemetery on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 11am.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
