Well known locally for his gifts at the piano as well as his penchant for practical jokes and his ever present grin, Kirk bravely battled cancer for more than two years.
Kirk Alan Bradshaw was born June 16, 1957, in Peoria, the son of Kenneth and Lois (Lindquist) Bradshaw.
He is survived by his brother, Mark (Jeanne) Bradshaw of Princeton, N.J., his Godmother Peg Bahnfleth of East Peoria, several cousins, and many other friends Kirk considered his family.
His parents preceded him in death.
Kirk graduated from Bradley University in the late 1970’s. He was a member of the Masonic Blue Lodge in Peoria.
Kirk was musical director for many musicals in Peoria community theatre, particularly at Corn Stock Theatre and Peoria Players Theatre. He was musical director of shows at Notre Dame High School for many years and at Limestone High School prior to that.
He often volunteered to perform or work at many organizations throughout the area. The last few summers found him either backstage at the Corn Stock tent or in the concession stand dishing out popcorn and soda.
One of his greatest joys was performing at the Gridiron Dinner and he was happy he was able to do so again last month.
