Lawrence "Bunky" Harold Claudin

Bunky was born on December 31, 1931 in Peoria to the late Raymond and Beulah "Mae" Claudin. He married his childhood sweetheart and love of his life, Elizabeth "Betty" Kerley, on January 28, 1951. They were blessed to share fifty four years of marriage until her death on January 24, 2005. He later married Marjorie Faulkner in 2007. She preceded him in death on April 17, 2015.

Bunky is survived by his sister, Eileen Benson, of Bettendorf, Iowa; his children, Debra (Eric) Hansen of East Peoria, Cheryl (Harry) Rice of Peoria, Daryl (Luann) Claudin of Peoria, and Marla Claudin (Gwynetta Bullock) of Peoria; and six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and two more expected blessings.

He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Cathleen Mae, on January 24, 1961.

Bunky was employed in a variety of positions at Caterpillar, Inc. from 1946-1989. He enjoyed his career and retirement.

Bunky loved having his family gathered together, grilling outdoors, watching the Cardinals, attending horse races, driving his pontoon boat on the Lake of Egypt, and tinkering with clocks.

A funeral service will be held on at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 12pm, with a visitation to start two hours prior at 10am. Burial will take place at Parkview Cemetery.
