During my year at ZMHC Leon was always like a breath of fresh air to cross paths with. His kindness always showed. Over the years we exchanged Xmas cards. Then, the  cards stopped. Now, I know why. He was a man among men!

I was so sorry to hear of your loss.  The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

Jackie, I have not the words to comfort you for the loss of your brother. I too have been there and I felt like a major part of myself was taken away and a scab forms only to be reopened at a time like this. I truly believe that now with Butch the trio is complete and heavenly angles are singing. Your family will be in my prayers. Thank GOD for allowing us to have the memories.

Mike and family,I am so sorry to see that butch passed away so soon. he had so many good things about him that I cant even to begin with. but the first was he was my 1st cousin and my friend. we grew up together as babies. we went to grade school ,high school together, we played hookie together, we fought together, we lived life together, he was as close to a brother as my real brother. we were no angels but we never did anything to be ashamed of. we raised our familys as best as we could.the 60"s were not easy times for us, but we made it through. I will always have fond memories of us playing together. and being adults together for I knew you always had my back, no matter what.I only ask that you make room up there for me so I can be with the old gang again You bebop, johnnyboy, love you cuz, bobby teague

Mike and family, so very sorry for your loss. He was a wonderful man. We had many good times together and I will never forget them. Our trips to Galesburg and times spent together & with family were priceless. We never made it to Portland, but the time we had was precious. You I will always remember the times and the great conversations we had and how you called to check on me when I was on the road. The last trip we took was when you, Aunt Jane and I went to Galesburg for the family reunion. We had a great weekend. Ahh, good times my friend. I shall forever remember you .May you rest in Heaven amongst the Angels and know you will be missed. Family, Heaven has gained a superb and caring Angel. He is not gone, he is just away and watching down over every one of us. May God keep and comfort you during this very difficult time. Prayers and blessings to you all.

We were surprised to read of Leon's transitioning and we're sure this event leaves a void in your hearts but we must know God is in control annd he did what was best for all, including Leon.  Please accept our condolences and prayers as we continue to lift you up before the Lord at this time.

Butch...cuz, we've had some good times. Sitting here thinking about the good ole days on the hill across from Bradley Park, Texas St/Park Rd, the Teague estate as I called it.  Uncle Leon/Aunt Wanda, Uncle Lonnie/Aunt Mildred, Aunt Mae & my fifty thousand cousins (it seemed like back then)... The holidays we'd come out and spend with you all. Playing hide n seek, red light-green light, sled riding, swimming at Uncle Lonnies, Aunt Maes love for her dogs...man, oh man.  Your love for your family and cars I'll never forget. Much love cuz, see you when I get there. 

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love. Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight. Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night. That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through, God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you." So sorry to hear of Leons passing. He was such a nice person to know. He will be missed by all that knew him.I worked at Zeller with him.

We are so sorry to see that Leon passed.  He was a good person to work with and always had a smile and something good to say to folks at Zeller.  Employees and patients all loved him.   He made the BEST bbq sauce with his ribs!!!
