Leroy was born November 29, 1928 in Wyoming, IL, the son of Fred and Ruby Sheets Duckworth. He married Mary Lou Rogers on September 20, 1958 in Peoria.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years; one daughter, Jeanne (Daniel) Wolford of Hanna City; one granddaughter, Laura Wolford a student in New York; three step-grandchildren, Candy (Chad) Johnson, Heather Wolford , and Daniell Jacobs ; one sister, Anna (Bob) Wilkins; and four brothers, Elbert (Joan) Duckworth, Cliff (Faye) Duckworth, Don (Delores) Duckworth, and Larry (Jeanne) Duckworth.
Leroy is preceded in death by his parents; two half-sisters, Ruth Maxwell and Pauline Hancock; and two brothers, Phillip and Dean.
He was a supervisor in tool design at Caterpillar until his retirement in 1986. But he was a farmer at heart.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, January 22, 2016 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Visitation will be two hours prior to services. Pastor Bob DeBolt will officiate.
