Linda Sue Johnson

Linda Sue Johnson, 73, of Bloomington, formerly of Peoria and Chillicothe, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at her home. She was born on July 1, 1949 in Peoria, a daughter of Albert "Bud" Jonas and Alice (Sluga) Jonas. She married James Lee Johnson on September 21, 1968 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on October 20, 1999 in Chicago.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving are her two children, James Lee (Tina) Johnson, II of Normal and Tracy (Jeremy) Mohn of Chillicothe; seven grandchildren, Brandon Voss, Brittany Hensley, Kevin Hensley, Austin Holley, Aaron (Kansas Kleiber) Holley, Meranda (Josh) Andrews and Cameron (Stephanie) Laws; five great-grandchildren, Bryce Hensley, Stella Hensley, Lilly Scheffert, Jackson Andrews and Christopher Laws; and one sister, Sharon LaFollette of Edwards.

Linda last worked as the manager for The Bulletin newspaper in Chillicothe, retiring in 2003.

Linda loved spending time with her family, including her pets, crafting, traveling and cooking for her family.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Peoria.

Linda's visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Thursday, March 30, 2023 at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Her funeral service will follow at 11:00 am also on Thursday at the funeral chapel. Burial will take place in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
