Linda J. Lynn

Linda J. Lynn, 85, of Peoria Heights, formerly of Plant City, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Grand View Alzheimer's Special Care Center in Peoria. Linda was born on June 18, 1938 in Bandana, Kentucky, a daughter of Hubert Matlock and Hattie (Morrison) Matlock. She married William A. Lynn on December 26, 1953 in Kentucky. He preceded her death on March 16, 2021 in Peoria.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and 10 brothers and sisters.

Linda is survived by her six children, Beverly (James) Winchell of Las Vegas, Nevada, Dale (Sharon) Lynn of Chillicothe, William R. "Randy" (Rhonda) Lynn of Washington, Charles (Lisa) Lynn of Bellevue, Nebraska, Anita (Curtis) Megyesi of Washington, and Lorie (Craig) Riggins of Peoria Heights; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; brother, Jack (Willie) Matlock of East Peoria; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a dance instructor for Strawberry Square in Plant City, Florida. Linda also worked for Home Interiors. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends. Linda was a past member of Whitehurst Road Baptist Church in Plant City, Florida.

Linda's funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, July 8, 2023 at the Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Pastor Ryan Anderson will officiate. Her visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm also on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
