Lloyd E. Anderson

He was born on November 9, 1926 in Alexis, IL to Harold O.E. and Blanche (Benson) Anderson. He married Patricia Ann Anderson on September 17, 1950 and were married fifty-one years before she passed away in 2002. His parents and one brother Harold Anderson also preceded him in death.

Surviving are three sons: Gregory A. Anderson of Rockford, IL, David H. (Norma) Anderson of Peoria, IL, and Roger D. Anderson of Chicago, IL. Also surviving him are one sister: Mildred Adams of Bartonville, IL; a brother, Dean Anderson of Greenwood, AR; five grandsons, Geoffrey, Joshua, Jeremy, Jared and David; three great-granddaughters; and one great-grandson.

Lloyd served in the U.S. Army during W.W. II and was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Peoria. He was retired from Hiram-Walker and Sons Distillery where he was employed for 30 years. He was also employed at Walgreen Drug Stores for ten years. The family would like to thank the staff of Rosewood Care Center and OSF Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to Lloyd.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 from 4:00 to7:00 p.m. at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service at Salem Lutheran Church in Peoria. Pastor Stephen Barnes will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
