Loren Lee Steger

Loren Lee Steger, 86, of Brimfield, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Proctor Place in Peoria. He was born on September 6, 1938 in Peoria, a son of Alfred L. and Iona M. (Streitmatter) Steger. Loren married Pamela Ann "Pam" Sinclair on December 9, 1962 in Metamora. She survives.

He is also survived by his three children, Bruce (Lori) Steger of Brimfield, Kimberly (Mike) McLain of Round Rock, Texas, and Amanda (Brian) Smallberger of East Peoria; six grandchildren, Alex (Samantha) Smallberger of Peoria, Alyssa McLain of Austin, Texas, Brayden Steger of Brimfield, Colton McLain of Round Rock, Texas, Cameron Steger of Brimfield, and Katelyn Smallberger of East Peoria; and one great-granddaughter, Aria Smallberger of Peoria.

Loren was preceded in death by his parents.

He served his country in the United States Air National Guard.

Loren worked as a lineman and trouble shooter for CILCO, retiring in 1996 after 38 years.

He loved to be outdoors and was very proud of his yard. Loren loved fishing and spending time on the water.

Loren's family would like to thank the staff of Proctor Place and Dr. Thomas Kouri for their loving care and support for Loren and his family.

Loren's visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday, May 30, 2025 at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. His funeral service will follow at 11:00 am also on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria with full military honors.

Loren's family would like to invite all guests to dress casually for his services.
