Margaret was born Dec. 23, 1920, in Stewartville, Minn., the daughter of John and Catherine Mullen Beach. She married Alvin Oral Holtan on Dec. 8, 1945, in Denver, Colo. He preceded her in death on Feb. 9, 1970.
She is survived by her daughter, Catherine (John) Kiblinger of Harrisonburg, Va.; two granddaughters, Laura (Karl) Stoltzfus of Weyers Cave, Va., and Suzanne (Rick) Kratz of Telford, Pa.; and five great-grandchildren, Logan, Dalton, Karly, Rachelle and Sarah.
Margaret was also preceded in death by her parents and seven siblings.
She was a nurse at the Peoria Health Department for 27 years, retiring in June of 1981.
Margaret was an Army veteran.
She attended First Christian Church in Creve Coeur.
Cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2014, at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. The Rev. Dwight Winnette and the Rev. John Kiblinger will officiate.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
