

PEORIA - Marie Wieland, 91, of Peoria passed away at 3:29 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, 2016, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. Marie was born July 22, 1924, in Peoria, the daughter of Charles and Elsie (Bolam) Schifgowich. She married Jordan Wieland on July 5, 1953, in Peoria. She is survived by her husband of 62 years; one son, Vincent (Mickey) Wieland of Dunlap; three granddaughters, Kayla (Mike) Schneider of Edwards, Tarah (Tom) Meister of Farmington and Erika (Tyler) Scheirer of Normal; three great-grandsons, Heath Meister, Wesley Schneider and Luke Meister; and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her two great-granddaughters. Also surviving are her brothers and sister-in-law, nieces and nephews. Marie was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Rohlfing and Evelyn Stables. She worked at Commercial National Bank as a teller for 12 years. Marie left her position to stay at home and raise her son. While her sisters were living, the three of them enjoyed shopping and playing bingo together. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016, at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016, and one hour prior to services. The Rev. Ron Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery.
