She was born on July 9, 1935, a daughter of John "Bub" and Helen Cramer of Hanna City, IL. Marge graduated from the Academy of Our Lady with the class of 1952.
One June1, 1957, she married Glenn Edward Ferre at St. Mark Catholic Church in Peoria, IL. Together they had 5 children. Marge and Ed had close ties to the Catholic Church. They were deeply involved in the Marriage Encounter program and they were members of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and school. Marge volunteered her time as a Den Mother for Boy Scouts and other school activities. After Ed passed away in 1974, Marge submerged herself in work to help others cope with the experience of loss and find the church again. She did this by co-founding the Beginning Experience program in the Peoria Diocese under Bishop Edward O'Rourke. Marge had a special gift to know what people needed for encouragement and support.
In 1996, Marge married Leonard J. Hunsader of Peoria, IL. Marge and Leonard enjoyed traveling, gardening and playing with grandchildren. Marge was a talented and artistic home decorator. She enjoyed transforming her home, making it warm and welcoming. There wasn't a DIY craft she couldn't excel at. Her favorite past time was her love of card games. Whether it be Bridge club, Pinochle, or cards with her grandchildren. Her competitive spirit made it so much fun. The rule was no one could go home until Grandma won. She was able to play cards until the very end.
Surviving are her five children; Thomas Ferre of Dunlap, IL, Carolyn (Wayne) Brill of Snohomish, WA, Michael Ferre of Peoria, Donna (Ray) Rusch of Peoria, Ann (Scott) Epping of Peoria; grandchildren, Nikki (Tim) Markel, Ryan Brill, Sean Brill, Rachel Brill, Raymond Rusch, Joseph Rusch, Nathan Rusch, Lucas Rusch, Lisa Rusch, Dwight Rusch, Rebecca (Justin) Baker, Ashley (Steven Lawson) Epping; step-grandchildren, Allison (Trevor) Ginn and Michael Epping; great-grandchildren, Isabel Markel, Adalyn Baker, Amelia Baker, and Joseph Rusch; step-great-grandchildren, Ian Ginn, Olivia Ginn and Ava Epping; and sister, Barbara Cramer. Marge also had 17 nieces and nephews.
