She was born July 25, 1937 in Peoria, Il to Russell and Mildred (Krauss) Shehan. She married Donald Fry on May 18, 1962 in Peoria. He survives.
Also surviving are five children, Jana Cooper, Julie (Bob) Thomas, David Fry, Jason (Dee) Fry, and Gregory Lewis; two grandchildren, Joy O'Conner, and Robert Thomas; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Gary Shehan.
Marlene was a graduate of Manual High School and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Peoria. She worked as a CNA at Proctor Hospital for many years before retiring.
A private service will be held and Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
