She was born Sept. 7, 1914, in Vienna, Ill., to John R. and Lizzie (Walker) Hand. She married Morton Coker on Nov. 13, 1939, in Pekin. He passed away June 15, 1972 in Peoria.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are three sons, John (Judy) Coker of East Peoria, William "Bill" (Susan) Coker of Peoria and Virgil (Carol) Coker of Antioch, Ill.; six grandchildren, Jeremy (Mikelle) Coker, Brian (Sarah) Coker, Thomas (Janette) Coker, Christine (Bill) Gerlock, Allison (Ryan) Campbell and Monica (Sean) Bristol; seven great-grandchildren, Abigail, Calvin, Jessica, Aidan, Alexander, Kiley and Morgan.
Mary was a member of Mount Olive Missionary Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, March 26, 2012, at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the chapel. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
