

Mary was born October 11, 1928, in Ripley, TN, the daughter of Rev. Booker T. & Cleo Puryear Purham.
She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Anderson of Peoria Heights, and Vickie (Charles) Cannon of Peoria; seven grandchildren: Marc (Kim) Anderson, Kim (Anthony) Cornish, Amy Purham, Todd (Kendra) Purham, Arrian Purham, Andrea (Malcolm) Cannon-Grant and Charles Cannon, Jr.; thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren; one sister Rosalyn Taylor of Peoria; one brother Robert (Patricia) Taylor of Dayton, OH; seven step-siblings: nieces and nephews, Cynthia McDonald, Roger (Diane) Flemming, Beverly (Willie) Moore, Linda Foster, Carmen ( Shelby, Jr.) Hines, Michael (Ada) Foster, Kirsten Vivian and Scott Gore; and several other special nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one sister.
She worked at Hiram Walker until retirement.
The family would like to extend their gratitude for the superb care Mary received from a group of angels posing as nurses at Unity Point Proctor: Vilma, Kristen, Abbi and Diana J.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
Bishop Shelby Hines, Jr. will officiate.
Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery.
