Michael “Mike” Jon Ogborn, 64, of Washington, IL, passed away September 2, 2025 at Carle Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria, Illinois. He was born February 13, 1961 in Peoria to Melvin and Shirley Kelso Ogborn. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, 3 brothers, Jerry, Brad, and Steve Ogborn, and his nephew, Bradley “B” Ogborn.
Mike is survived by 2 brothers, Gary (Sandy) Ogborn of Henry, IL, and Brian Ogborn of California, and one sister, Theresa Garlotte, whom he made his home with in Peoria Heights.
Mike graduated from Washington Community High School and enjoyed UFC fights, and playing pool and board games.
Mike was a Navy Veteran, serving from 1981-to 1983, and served as a Boiler Technician onboard the USS Lamoure County (LST 1194). His services took him to the shores of the Caribbean Islands, Mediterranean Sea, Suez Canal and the Atlantic Ocean.
He will be remembered by his family and friends and fellow “Beverely Manor” and “Sunnylanders”. His family thanks all his amazing caregivers and friends for their support.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mike was an organ donor. Services will be held at 2pm on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Inurnment will follow the service at Parkview Cemetery.
