Steve was born July 29, 1923 in Kewanee, IL, the son of Milford & Eva Anderson Stephenson. He married Barbara J. Johnson on November 15, 1951 in Peoria.
He is preceded in death by his wife of fifty-one years; one granddaughter, Suzette; one brother, Howard.
Steve is survived by, one son Mark (Mary) of Washington; daughters, Diane (Larry) Claudin of Peoria, and Connie (Gary) Kepley of Chillicothe ; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great- grandchildren.
Steve was a 1951 graduate of Bradley University and was a member of the Ulumni. He was also a member of A.F. & A.M. Temple Lodge # 46, and Peoria Consistory & Mohammed Shrine.
He was an owner-operator of Amoco on Moss & Western for thirty-five years until his retirement in 1985.
Graveside Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday August 15, 2013 at Swan Lake Memory Gardens. Pastor Mary Jane West will officiate.
Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
