He was born June 23, 1923 in Czeszewo, Poland to Eli and Chaja Perl (Katzkovich) Bittner. He married Clarissa Hollander on June 8, 1948 in Indianapolis, IN. She passed away July 9, 2002 in Peoria. He is also preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Nancy Bittner, one sister, Mary Hollander, and two brothers: Max and Sam Bittner.
Survivors include three children: Marvin Bittner of Omaha, NE, Daniel (Eileen) Bittner of Venice, CA, Ruth Bittner of Peoria, and one sister, Liba Kollar of Tampa, FL.
Morris was a WWII Army Air Corps veteran. Following his time in the military, Morris was a pharmacist working in the Peoria area, including B&L Pharmacy and Lovin Pharmacy.
Morris was a member of Congregation Anshai Emeth, and he enjoyed volunteering at Heartland Heath Clinic in Peoria.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at 10 a.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. The services will be Livestreamed on the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel Facebook page.
Burial will be in the Peoria Hebrew Cemetery.
