

She was born November 23, 1936 in Avon, IL and grew up in Peoria, IL the daughter of Forrest Allen Lincoln and Dorothy Onieta Ruthe.
Surviving is her brother, LeRoy Allen Lincoln of Avon; niece, Christina Lincoln; nephew, Clinton Lincoln; son, Bradley Allen ( Victoria ) Post ; daughter, Tami Onieta (Alan) Cook; daughter, Cheryl (Brian) Post; grandson, Jerry Allen (Tiffany) Cook; grandson, Jesse Allen ( Ashley) Post; great-grandchildren, Caiden Cook, Kaiya Cook, Ryker Cook; nephew and nieces by marriage, Gary Debis, Kim Post, Kirk Post, Penny Post-Freeman, Larry Hansen, Brent Hansen, Judy Bushnell, Jamie Hansen, and Lynn Coburn.
Nancy graduated from Woodruff High School in 1954 where she met the love of her life, Norman George Post. She attended Methodist School of Nursing and graduated in 1957. She also married in 1957 and resided in West Peoria.
Norman preceded her in death on November 7, 1996.
Nancy worked as a registered nurse during her career at Methodist Hospital and for Peoria School District 150, by starting the first nursing services in their high schools at Manual High School.
Nancy loved her church and made sure her children were raised in a Christian home. She was a life-long member of St Paul Lutheran Church in Peoria where she served in numerous capacities over the years. She was a State of Illinois Coaches Association Hall of Fame basketball fan and Manual High Sports fan supporting her children in their swimming and other activities. She loved to read and listen to music. Nancy and her brother made it possible for her children and grandchildren to grow up with both a city life and country life on the family farm in Avon, Illinois. After retirement she dedicated herself to living frugally and spoiling her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016 from 5-7:00 p.m. at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria.
Funeral services and reception will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at St Paul Lutheran Church on 1427 W. Lake Street, Peoria, Illinois. There will also be a brief viewing prior to services at 10:00 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Unity Point Health-Methodist/Proctor Foundation with memo to Methodist College Nursing Scholarship fund.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
