Norman Dale Buchanan, 85, of Peoria, IL, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at a local hospital. Norman was born on June 1, 1940 to his parents, Willis Averil Buchanan and Sarah Louise Buchanan (nee Lilley) in Elsberry, MO.
Norman married Marvene “Maxine” Clark on December 7, 1968. She preceded him in death on March 3, 2007 in Peoria IL. Also preceding him in death are his parents, daughter, Dianna Blanch, and brothers, Eugene Buchanan and James Buchanan.
Left to cherish Norman’s memory is his loving family; daughter, Christal Gonzalez; grandsons, David Gonzalez, Daniel Gonzalez, Anthony Gonzalez, Michael Blanch, Buddy Blanch; granddaughters, Sarah-Ann Gonzalez, Jessica Gonzalez-Barnes, and Racheal Blanch; brother, Ronald Buchanan, and 22 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held for Norman on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 from 1-3pm at Davison-Fulton Funeral Chapel. Cremation has been accorded. Inurnment will take place in Parkview Cemetery at a later date.
