

Onia Fay Mack, 74, of Peoria, IL passed away peacefully on Monday, March 16, 2026, at Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center in Marietta, GA. She was born on May 27, 1951, in Ripley, TN to Dorothy Jean and Archel Mack.
After moving from Bloomington back to Peoria, she joined New Beginnings Ministry of Peoria in 2012 where she loved cooking and spending time in fellowship. She served as a devoted prayer intercessor and had a passion for culinary ministry, cooking Saturday mornings for the patrons of the Nannie M. Johnson Community Center Food Pantry and later volunteering solely at the Food Pantry. Onia will be remembered for her affectionate smile, laughter, caring personality, unwavering strength, and hugs.
Family surviving to cherish her memories are her children: Chivass (Tory) LaGeno Mack of East Peoria, IL; Allen (Melanie) Sulton, III of Atlanta, GA; Karone Shariff Sulton of East Peoria, IL; and Alpha (Brittany) Omega Sulton of Bloomington, IL; three sisters, Darlene Mortimer and Karen (LeRoy) Mack-Linwood of Peoria, IL and Christina (Louis) Mack-Barney of Lincoln, IL; four brothers, Larry Mack, Archel Mack, Jr., and Rickey Mack of Peoria, IL, and Devon Mack of OK; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Onia's legacy is her faith, love, and generosity that will live on through her children, family, friends, and the many people whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
Onia was preceded in death by her parents, two nephews, and one brother, Gary Mack.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 30, 2026, at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and again on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. Committal and interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery.
