She is preceded in death by her parents Albert and LaNora Atkinson, her husband Edward Driscoll, son Douglas Hunter, son Darrin Hunter, and 6 brothers and sisters Shirley Quick, Kathleen McHugh, Marilyn Sullivan, Louis Atkinson, Richard Atkinson, and Paul Atkinson.
She is survived by Son George Hunter of Pekin, Daughters Monica(John) Yard of Farmington, Alicia(David) Killam of Eureka, Angela(Scott) Hart of Morton, Son Timothy Hunter of Peoria, 19 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, Brother in law George(Bud) Sullivan and Sister in law Sandi Atkinson.
Pat worked a variety of secretarial jobs throughout her life before retiring from PDC Laboratory after several years.
Pat was a proud, active member of St Ann's church. She always helped with the coordination of the church's luncheons and functions. She was the most giving person anyone has ever met, she made new friends wherever she went. She knew no strangers, and everybody that met her loved her. Her generosity of spirit and ever-present, infectious smile touched countless lives. She will be remembered for her gentle heart, unwavering kindness, and the love she so freely gave to others. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother and a grandmother. She will be loved and missed by so many.
Visitation will be held at St Ann's Catholic Church 1318 W Antoinette in Peoria on April 28th from 5 to 7 pm, additional visitation on April 29th from 9 to 10 am with service to follow and burial at St Joseph cemetery 2105 W Heading Ave in West Peoria afterwards.
