

He was born on July 12, 1935 in Hartford City, IN to Maurice and Mary Jane (Whetsel) Hunt. He married Donna Jean Hoehne in January 17, 1956. He later married Paulette Penny on Febraury 13, 1979 in Peoria. She preceded him in death in 2003. Also preceding him in death were his parents and one daughter, Patricia A. Hunt.
Surviving are seven children, Sherry L. (David) Parrish, Debra L. Hey, Michele J. (Cy) Baker, Suzanne E. (Ed) Scoby, Michael P. Hunt, Angela L. (Andy) Leitner Bangert, and Ashlie N. Hunt. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, Jessica K. Haworth (Christopher) Billings, Kraig I. (Shelby) Parrish, Amber (Justin) Johns, Kari (Wes) Bartels, Kimberly (Eric) Bangs, Jason (Vicki) Kammerer, Dakotah R. Brizzee, Canyon C. Brizzee, Michaela (Jake) Schoengarth, Lauren Crumble, Abigail Bangert, Emma Bangert, Aaron Bangert, Katherine Bangert, and Matthew J. Packard; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Patrick served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked as a manager for 7-Up Bottling in Peoria, then as a surveyor with the State of Illinois. He then worked in Maintenance for an area nursing home and last worked as an Electrician for Caterpillar Inc and was a past member of the UAW local 974.
Patrick was a plane enthusiast and enjoyed air shows and just about anything to do with planes. He also enjoyed photography, fishing, camping, the outdoors, nature watching and going to breakfast with friends. He loved to travel to visit family in Indiana and taking the train to Washington State.
A visitation will be Monday, September 6, 2021 from 5 to 7 pm with a service at 7 pm at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Cremation will be accorded and a burial of the urn will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
