Reba E. Hill

Reba E. Hill, 92, of Peoria, passed to her heavenly home at 12:05 PM on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Washington Christian Village in Washington, IL. She was born on February 27, 1924 at the family farmhouse in New Douglas, IL to Earl and Bertha Davis Atteberry. She married Melvin A. Hill on July 5, 1945 in Greenville, IL. He preceded her in death on October 23, 1988. Also preceding her were one sister, Ruth Scherrer and one brother, Raymond Atteberry.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Rodney (Janice) Hill of Peoria Heights and Martin (Sandra) Hill of Fayetteville, Ga; five grandchildren, Greg Hill of Peoria Heights, Sandi Hill of Metamora, Mike (Teresa) Hill of Pekin, Jennifer Hill of Fayetteville, GA and J.D. (Holly) Hill of Del Rio, TX; six great grandchildren, Matt (Megan), Sarah, Madison, Renee, Jacob, and Ethan; two great great grandchildren, Kenzie and Oakley.; two sisters Wilma Grove of Litchfield, IL and Vernetta (Roger) Anderson of Tucson, AZ; several nieces and nephews; special and caring friend Sherry Crane, and "granddaughter" Jamie Williams.

During her younger years, Reba worked as a hairstylist. She was glad to be a stay-at-home mom to her children. Later she had been a sales associate for Montgomery Wards. Reba was a member of El Vista Baptist Church in Peoria, IL.

Her family wishes to thank Methodist Hospice nurse, Peg and staff, and all the staff at Washington Christian Village for their expert and loving care.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria, IL. Rev. Joey Watt of El Vista Baptist Church will officiate.
