Robert Lee Seelye, “Bob”, 83, of Peoria, IL, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025, in Morton, IL. Bob was born on December 5, 1941 in Peoria, IL to his parents, Jack Emmit Seelye and Lillian Beatrice (nee Beccue) Seelye. The preceded him in death.
Left to cherish Bob’s memory is his loving family, daughter, Rachel Saldivar (Jesse), of Edwards, IL; sister, Carol Hicks (Larry) of Peoria, IL; cousin, Bill Seelye of Peoria, IL; several nieces and nephews, as well as his best friends, Dan and Karen Hoerr of Morton, IL.
Bob graduated from Bradley University and went on to serve in the US Navy during Vietnam. He worked for Ben Schwartz and was an accountant at Baumann & Associates until he retired. Bob was a Shriner and a member of the Royal Order of Jesters, serving as Past Potentate. He belonged to the Ivy Club for many years, watching his daughter swim on their swim team. Bob enjoyed many yearly trips to Las Vegas, NV, and Biloxi, MS, and enjoyed playing blackjack.
A funeral service will be held for Bob at 2:00pm on Friday, July 11, 2025 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel, with Pastor Craig Hislope to officiate. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Parkview Cemetery.
