Robert M. "Bobby" Brain

Bobby was born October 13, 1941 in Kewanee, Illinois to John M. and Evelyn (Douglas) Brain. He married Mary Helen Carr on October 12, 1990 in Clearwater, Florida. She passed away in 2004. He was also preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving is one son: Robert (Misako) Monical of Jacksonville, NC; four step children: Cindy (Michael) Murphy of Alabama, Kathy (George) Whitman of East Peoria, Juley McLinden of East Peoria, and Erick (Lori) Schwab of Davenport, Iowa; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters: Nancy Helmick of Peoria and Mary Lou Clinton of Ohio, IL; and one half brother: Steven Vosburgh.

He was a United States Army veteran.

Bobby worked as a bartender for many establishments in the Peoria area. He was awarded the BOLS Distributor Bartender of the Month award in 1981. He also worked as a dealer for the Par-a-dice for 4 years.

He was also very involved and active with Cops for Kids. He touched many lives and will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be 12 noon, Friday, October 29, 2010 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Chaplain Lauren Padgett will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 P.M., Thursday, at the chapel. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.
