My condolences to all in the George family. I have had the pleasure of knowing Bob for several years and found him to be a straight shooter and just one nice guy who loved his children and respected his friends. May he Rest In Peace in the hands of our Lord, now they will be able to hear that very distinct laugh of his amen.

My condolences to the family. Bob and I were friends in grade school at St. Marks , little league baseball at Guardian Angel and at Spalding H S. When he started his practice , I was one of his first clients and that continued until his retirement January 2020 He was for well over 60 years a trusted friend and advisor. It would be impossible to overstate the number of sporting events we saw together. It would also be impossible to overstate how important he was to my successes both personal and financial . He was a prince of a person and the world is a little less better of a place with him not in it.

Bobby was a very special friend. Although I only saw him at French Lick once a year for a number of years, I grew so fond of his smile, his laughter, his constant good cheer and his competitive spirit. He is so memorable, a moving picture of his golf swing (not the best I’ve ever seen), is burned in my brain. May he Rest In Peace.

Bobby and Jenny.
I was greatly saddened to hear your dad passed away. I have known him as my accountant, friend and golfing buddy for over 30 years. I will remember him as the voice of reason in all situations and for the sound, practical advice he gave me on many occasions. His signature remark when he made a good golf shot was “Oh baby!” I’m chuckling right now when I think about it. He was a great man and will be missed by all. My condolences to you and your extended family.

I’ve been friends with Bob’s daughter Jen since grade school. As we got older we would take turns hosting a Girls Holiday Dinner when we were all back together in Peoria. Usually the host would attempt to cook a special meal for everyone (we were in our 20s, maybe not the best cooks) The year Jen hosted Bob had the most amazing Lebanese feast! It was a meal I’ll never forget. Hosting that holiday girls night have been a little out of his element for Bob, but he and Jen made it a memorable special night for all of us.
Sending my thoughts and love to Jen and Megan and the whole George family. Xo, Colleen

I was a banker for many years and had great respect for Bob. He always worked very hard as his client’s advocate. Many years ago I had a client that was in trouble and on the brink of going out of business because of bad bookkeeping . I called Bob and he sent a team to this business and helped rescue it. In later years the owner was able to sell his now successful business and enjoy a good retirement. Best wishes to his family.

We had great moments playing golf. One memory that stands out. We were playing in the member-guest tournament one year. 13th hole, the beverage cart pulled up with a very attractive driver, we ordered, Kent Wise kept saying "OH BABY", he could not get her out of his mind. We laughed at that for years and still do! Sorry for your loss, Bob was a great guy to talk to and be around.

Jennifer and Robert, please accept our condolences and our prayers on the loss of your father and Rita, Virginia, Ron and Steve on the loss of your brother.
As a cousin, my memories of Bob go back to our teen years, when we worked together on the weekends at the Kandy Kane during high school and summer ventures during our college years and after. Bob was not only my cousin but he was a lot fun to be with and a loyal friend willing to help and advise.
Rest In Peace, you will be missed!

I met Bob in the ‘60’s a frequent visitor to the back room of Gene’s Dairy Dream on North University. I worked for Gene and Bernard Couri. Bob was their friendliest, happiest friend with an infectious laugh. Always fun to run into at athletic events, his kind manner and frequent laughter will always be remembered. This world needs more Bobby Georges. God bless.

I have wonderful memories of Bob growing up. We use to spend every Christmas and New Years Day with the whole family. When Bob and Vicki moved on our block I got to babysit Bobby and Jenny once in a while. It touched my heart when Bob made the trip to northern IL when our son died. Love to you Bob and May you Rest In Peace! Bobby and Jenny, Rita, Ginny, Ron and Steve, we are so very sorry for your loss! Love, Wendy and Bill Smith

When Bobby first brought me to Peoria for the holidays, I quickly realized where he got his kindness and generosity from (and his extreme neatness). As we drove around town, I felt like I was with a celebrity — everybody knew and genuinely loved Bob. It was easy to understand why. I’ll always be grateful for how Bob “where’s the bread?” George made me feel welcomed from day one. Bob, I hope you are getting all the good bread right now.

Few people make it to your close friends list in life. I bet Bob was on many peoples list. He would do anything for you and he never spoke ill of anyone.,"sheesh" was about a bad as it would get. I will cherish him in my heart and look forward to seeing him on down the road. God bless his soul and may he look after Jenny and Bobby . Lots of love my friend.
