Robert M. Graham

He was born November 9, 1920 in Peoria, Illinois. Robert was the son of Clifford and Clara (Huxtable) Graham. He married June Backes on December 28, 1939 in Peoria. She preceded him in death September 14, 2009 in Peoria. They shared 69 years of a wonderful marriage.

Robert is survived by one son, Gary (Judy) Graham of Naperville, Illinois and two grandchildren, Peter (Amanda) Graham of Jacksonville, Florida and Britt (Dan) Zehnle, of St. Louis, Missouri. He also is survived by three great grandchildren, Hannah and Brett Graham, and Nicole Zehnle.

Robert was a custom home contractor owning the Robert Graham Construction Company for many years in the Peoria Area. He was an avid golfer and former member of Arrowhead Country Club. Robert was a WWII Air Force Veteran, serving as an officer and pilot training instructor during the war.

He was a member of the Illinois Masonic Lodge 263, A.F &A.M., Peoria Consistory Valley of Peoria, and a 50 plus year member of Mohammed Temple. He was also a member of the Homebuilders Association. He was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Downtown, Peoria.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Davison Fulton Woolsey Wilton Funeral Home on Willow Knolls Drive. The Rev. Vonna Lou Larson will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday at the funeral home one hour prior the service. Entombment will be held at the Swan Lake Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
