Robert L. Trapp

Robert was born May 17, 1929 in Peoria, the son of John & Louise Roth Trapp. He married Marian J. Hilst in Peoria, on December 31, 1955.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years; two sons Robert ( Betty) of Gridley and John D. of Peoria.; three daughters, Robin (Mitchell) Day of Peoria, Janine (Chris) Hyde of Spokane, Washington and Denise (Randy) Berry of North Prairie, Wisconsin; one brother, John (Jack) Trapp of Peoria; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the 5th Regiment of the 1st Calvary during the Korean War.

Robert was an assembler at Caterpillar for thirty years retiring in 1988.

He is a member of St. Ann Catholic Church.

Robert found the most pleasure and fulfillment in his family. He showed his kind and gentle nature everyday of his life. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed cooking and after retirement traveled the United States with Marian.

Funeral mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday November 26, 2012 at St. Ann Catholic Church. Father Terry Cassidy will officiate. Visitation will be two hours prior to services.

Cremation rites will be accorded.

In lieu of flowers family asks that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or Methodist Hospice.
