

Rodney was born on December 8, 1934 in Peoria to Frank Henry and Mary Ellen Kohl. He married Barbara Gladden in 1957 in Peoria. They divorced and she preceded him in death in 2006. Also preceded him in death are his parents; his infant son, Craig Eugene; his infant daughter, Susan Kay; and his infant sister, Charlene Joyce Kohl.
Surviving are one son, Gregory Alan Kohl; one daughter, Teresa Kohl of Missouri; his sister, Carol Ann Eberle of Peoria; his beloved niece, Cindy McCullough of Santa Fe, NM and two dear nephews, Donald Eberle of Maroa and Daniel Eberle of Peoria and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-nieces and nephews.
Rodney was a prison guard for 10 years at Statesville Prison in Joliet, IL and then was head bartender for 25 years at Davis Brothers Tap in East Peoria. He later drove a school bus for Laidlaw Bus Transportation for several years and most recently as a driver for Sam Leman on Pioneer Parkway in Peoria.
Rodney was a member of the Local Bartenders Union and he was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shrine.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 14 at 11am at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home on Allen Road in Peoria. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Springdale Cemetery in Peoria. Memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Peoria in memory of his two deceased infant children.
