Ruby Ellen Northrup

She was born to Allen P. and Lena P. (Nolan) Clark on September 9, 1931.

She married Raymond L. Northrup on August 27, 1951. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters Beverly Hinkle and Barbara Stanley.

She retired from the Peoria Journal Star after more than 40 years. She was a past president of the former secretarial association and member of ABWA.

She was a member of the Apple Knockers dance troupe with her beloved husband, and they were avid world travelers.

Cremation rites have been entrusted with Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 2 P.M. at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Visitation will be held from 1:30 P.M. – 2 P.M. Pastor Bob Debolt will officiate. Inurnment will follow the service in Parkview Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the local Alzheimer’s Association.
