Born December 13, 1939 in Peoria to Lloyd and Hazel (Siltman) Ball; she married B. Mark Kenney, Jr on October 20, 1973 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on February 9, 2016.
Also preceding her in death were her brother, Richard and nephew, Craig “Dude” Ball.
Surviving are her sister, Judith (Steven) Heintz of West Peoria; her sister-in-law, Billie Ball of Peoria; and many nieces and nephews.
Ruth Ann was a secretary with Madison Park Bank and Caterpillar Inc. It was at the latter that she met her beloved Mark. They enjoyed traveling together and spent three years in Brazil.
Ruth Ann had many interests including tennis, boating, fishing, and music. She was a lovely lady with a kind heart and was loyal to those she loved.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Burial will follow at Swan Lake Memory Gardens. Per Ruth Ann’s wishes, there will be no visitation.
Memorials are suggested to the Humane Society or A.S.P.C.A to honor the four dogs Ruth Ann and Mark loved as children.
