Ruth was born October 5, 1946 in Peoria, IL to Clifford and Mildred Butler. She married James McGuire on March 5, 1966 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on May 8, 2015. Also preceding her in death were her parents.
Surviving are her two children, Gary (Kathy) McGuire of Canton and Connie Klusman of Peoria Heights; five grandsons, Dennis, Bryent, Cody, Ty, Kaison; four granddaughters,Trisha, April, Trinity, and Hannah; four great-grandchildren, Gage, Melody, Michael, and Peytyn; and one sister, Jeannette Long of Washburn.
Ruth was a member at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Peoria Heights. She worked many years as a barber for Chuck's Barber Shop, then as a Meat Wrapper for Ben Schwarts Grocery Store, and finally as a cashier at Sav-A-Lot. Ruth enjoyed crocheting, shooting pool, watching ghost adventures and being with family and friends..
Cremation will be accorded. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
