Sandra Kay Steinberg, 91, of Peoria, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Carle Health Methodist Hospital. Born in LaSalle on September 19, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Selma (Levine) Steinberg. On August 12, 1953, she married Daniel Steinberg. He preceded her in death on February 25, 2022.
Surviving Sandra are her three children, Bayla Matlin (Yisrael) Froylich, Sally (Howard) Goldstein, and Lewis (Janet) Steinberg; 15 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Aside from her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Mickey Steinberg.
A Graveside Service will take place on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Peoria Hebrew Cemetery, at 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to Congregation Agudas Achim, Chabad Jewish Center of Peoria, or the Jewish Federation of Peoria.
