Sarah May Woods

She was born October 11, 1929 in Marianna Arkansas, the daughter of Johnny and Kattie Stewart Dunlap. She married LaSalle Woods in Peoria, IL. on April 15th, 1960. He preceded her in death.

Sarah attended Arkansas State University and Bradley University. Later she was self employed in Janitorial Service and later worked for Methodist Hospital. She was a long time member of The Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ.

She is survived by one brother and three sisters; Mattie Dunlap of Peoria, IL, Edward Dunlap of Markham, IL, Lottie Mae Kimball of Mephis, Tenn. and Cloradean Dunlap of Atlanta GA. She is also survived by eight children; Margurie Johnson of Peoria, IL, Robert Monroe of Rantol, IL, Kattie Woods of Peoria, IL, Dale Woods of Peoria, IL, Randale Woods of Carterville GA, Terry Woods of Peoria, IL, Raymond Woods of Peoria, IL and Andre Woods of Peoria, IL. Also surviving are 29 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.

Sarah was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and two daughters.

Funeral services will be held on Friday November 19, 2010 at 11:00am at The Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ in Peoria, IL. Visitation will be held one hour prior at 10:00am at The Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ in Peoria, IL.
