

Shawn was baptized at an early age at New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. Shawn grew up in Peoria, IL, where she became a wife, a mother, and a friend to many. Shawn had a passion for cooking. Shawn was a free spirit, fun loving, living life to the fullest type of person. She could light up a room with her infectious smile. Many would say she was the life of the party. In Shawn’s own words: “Keep up my peeps!” Shawn held many managerial positions in her life. She also took pride in being a mixologist.
Shawn was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, William and Edna Young.
Shawn leaves to cherish her memory her loving mother, Edna Mae Young, of Peoria, IL; two sons, Jeremy Creasy Jr. of Bartonville, IL, and Jawaun Creasy of Peoria, IL; three sisters, Jacinta Young of Peoria, IL, Monica (David) Childs of Peoria, IL, Ryeasa Young of Peoria, IL; one brother, Antione Young of Peoria, IL; eleven grandchildren, Kaleyna Creasy, Jeremy Creasy III, Jaeda Lewis, Kalven Creasy, Arabella Creasy, Mason Creasy, Aniya Creasy, Jakees Creasy, Jakeem Creasy, Sailas Creasy, Luka Creasy, all of Peoria, IL; a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends who loved her dearly.
Shawn also leaves behind a special friend, Richard Joliff, who was a devoted partner and took excellent care of Shawn.
A Celebration of Life is to take place on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Trewyn Park at the Trewyn Pavillion from 1:30-4:30pm, 2219 S. Idaho St. Peoria, IL 61605. Immediately following there will be an additional celebration of Shawn's life at Refuel Bar in Hanna City, IL.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
