He is survived by his parents of Dunlap; brother, Christopher (Geneva) and four nephews, all of Edelstein. He is also survived by his uncle, Gilbert (Peggy) Keyster of Mapleton; several cousins; his best friend through thick and thin, Greg Bailey. Also, someone very special in his life, Paris Jolee.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Thelma Post and Fred and Catherine Keyster. His aunt and uncle, Joyce and Bill Laird, also preceded him.
He worked in retail for over 15 years. He was a Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. He enjoyed metal music and going to concerts. Steve liked to cook and eat good food. He made good BBQ ribs and a mean Rueben.
He traveled throughout the United State and had gone to Holland. He also had lived in Denver, CO and Las Vegas, NV.
He was a special person and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 10 a.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home. Pastor Tim Beddingfield will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
