She was born Sep. 8, 1954 in Hartford, CT to Richard and Frances (Lang) Landry. She married Dwight Simpson, who was formerly of Casey, IL, Dec. 2, 1990 in Essex, CT. He survives along with Susan’s mother, Frances Lonergan of Webster, MA, one daughter, Kaitlin J. Simpson of Dunlap, one son, Richard D. Simpson of Dunlap, one brother, Lee Landry of Putnam, CT, one sister Dede (Paul) Potvin of Neptune City, NJ, and one niece, Dawn (Jay) Rayner of Colchester, CT.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Susan was a Clinical Scientist for Pfizer Chemical in New London, CT.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of Susan’s life will be Friday March 15, 2013 at 4 p.m. Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. An additional celebration of life will take place Sunday March 17, 2013 at 3 p.m. at the Meeting House in Old Mystic Village, Mystic, CT.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ovarian Cancer Society.
