Bartonville – Tony Allen Harris, 75, of Bartonville, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020 at UnityPoint Health – Methodist in Peoria. He was born in Blytheville, AR on August 19, 1945 to Gurley and Rachel Adell (Hallman) Harris. Tony married Rosemary Miller on July 16, 1976 in Peoria. She survives.
Tony is also survived by his two daughters, Mindy (Lonnie) Pennman of Springfield and Roseza Parker of Peoria; brother, Lloyd “Wayne” Harris of Princeton, KY; and six grandchildren, Krystina Harris, Tori Guppy-Weil, Challen Harris, Scott Pennman, Austin Harris, Connor Pennman. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lisa Weisihan; infant son, Scotty Harris; one sister; and four brothers.
Tony worked as an inspector for Caterpillar, Inc. for 31 years, retiring in 1997.
He enjoyed doing Civil War Reenactments. He was a member of Bayview Baptist Church in Washington and the NRA.
Tony’s funeral service will be at held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Rev. Dr. Keith Thibo will officiate. Tony’s visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bayview Baptist Church.
