He was born June 15, 1948 in North Vietnam to Ruan and Sa (Thi) Nguyen Bui. He married Huong Kim on Dec. 26, 1970 in Saigon, Vietnam. She survives in Peoria along with seven children: Tran (Dzu) Bui of Vietnam, Tuyen (Phuong) Bui of Peoria, Thuong (Duyen) Bui of Peoria, Thanh (Huyen) Bui of Peoria, Thang (Van) Bui of Vietnam, Tung (Hoa) Bui of Peoria, and Theresa Bui of Peoria. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Truong Bui, one sister, and three brothers.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Sep. 30, and Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.at the Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. A funeral mass will be Friday, Oct. 2, 2020 at 12 Noon at St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Peoria. Additional visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. prior to the services at church.
Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
