

She was born Nov. 19, 1937 in Canton to Harold and Anna (Puskarich) Warner. Virginia graduated from Farmington High School then served in the United States Air Force. She later married John “Fred” Kraus on May 13, 1961 in Farmington. He passed away on Sep. 16, 1972 in Peoria. She is also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Rosalie Lovelace and Constance Yusko, and one daughter-in-law, Judy Kraus.
Survivors include three children: Fred Kraus of East Peoria, who has four children and five grandchildren, Rosalie (Ron) Reason of East Peoria, who has five children and seven grandchildren, and Donald (Lisa Staley) Kraus of Peoria, who has three sons and one grandchild. She is also survived by two brothers: Edward (Joyce) Warner of Farmington, and Paul “PT” Warner of Morton.
Virginia was a single parent working at Caterpillar, Inc. retiring in 2005. She was a member of St Ann Catholic Church in Peoria. She was an avid collector of local artist, Jean Fehl, and enjoyed painting ceramics for family and friends. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and going on family vacations.
A funeral mass will be Monday, May 24, 2021 at 11 a.m. at St Ann Catholic Church in Peoria. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Monday till service time at 11 a.m. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in West Peoria.
