

Virginia Lea Miller, 86, of Peoria, IL passed away at 5:25 PM Tuesday March 30, 2010 at Apostolic Christian Restmor Nursing Home in Morton, IL. Virginia was born February 15, 1924 in Clinton, IL to Aubrey B. and Virginia White Eads. Virginia married William E. Miller on October 4, 1942 in Peoria, IL. William passed away June 4, 1987.
At the time of her passing, Virginia was surrounded by her family and passed into the presents of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Surviving is her son Bill (Sally) Miller of Germantown Hills, IL, her daughter Sue (Don) Rice of Tremont, IL, seven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. Virginia was preceded in death by her son Richard Miller, her brother Aubrey “John” Eads, Jr., and her great granddaughter.
Virginia faithfully served Jesus as a Sunday school teacher, a bible teacher, and as a member of the King’s Trio singing throughout Central Illinois. She was a long time member of Galena Road Baptist Church and attended Community Bible Study. Virginia is remembered as a faithful wife, mother, and grandmother who selflessly served and prayed for those around her including the patrons at Mister Doughnut on Knoxville in Peoria. Virginia loved flowers, birds, and her dogs.
Services will be held at 11 AM Saturday April 3, 2010 at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Morton, IL. Rev. Steve Hauter will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 – 7 PM Friday at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria, IL and one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
