

He was born August 5, 1937 in Peoria, a son of Robert and Elizabeth Evans Brandow, he married Judy D. Viehmeyer on November 17, 1981 in Eureka. She survives.
Also surviving are eight children, Michelle (Jerrit) Kamp of Metamora, Barbara (Troy) Bishop of East Peoria, Earl E. (Angela) Segler III of East Peoria, Daniel (Sandra) Segler of East Peoria, Holly Meritt, Wendy Brandow-Schumann both of Florida, Misty Welchman-Waggner, and Christina (Ron) Welch of Peoria; two sisters, Judith (Ray) Guerrero of Lacon, Margaret (Jerry) Dalton of Peoria; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He worked for Peoria Tube Forming in East Peoria since 1982 and last worked in April of 2011.
Walter was a very spiritual and selfless man who would always put others before himself. He was dedicated to Prison Ministry for 20 years and a member of the Fellowship of Christian Anglers Society. He loved his family, friends, and his girls Sara and Abigail.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the chapel. Cremation rites will be accorded. Burial of Ashes will be at a later date in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
