

William E. “Bill” Mastronardi, age 76, of Peoria, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 6:00 a.m. at his residence. Bill passed away from a form of Parkinson’s called Lewy Body Dementia. He was born October 1, 1940 in Peoria to Enrico and Carol (Krueger) Mastronardi. He married Joyce Hansen on March 19, 1960 in Peoria. She survives along with two daughters: Ann-Marie Sepich of Peoria, Nicole Harmon of Peoria; one granddaughter, Sara Sepich of Peoria; two grandsons: Matthew Sepich of Peoria, Wm. Riley VanDusen of Peoria; two brothers: Charles (Barb) Mastronardi of Washington, Brian (Judy) Hoover of Port Allegany, PA, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Annette Mastronardi. Bill was a United States Air Force Veteran serving from 1956 to 1966. He graduated from Bradley University in 1975. He then worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for 35 years retiring in 2002. His passion was bowling. He bowled on many bowling leagues and tournaments throughout the United States. He entered the Peoria Area Bowling Hall of Fame in 1984. He enjoyed golfing and attending his grandchildren’s school activities and sporting events. He was of the Catholic Faith. He was member of the Knights of Columbus and was involved in Cursillo, Tec, and Prison Ministry. Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Visitation will be two hours prior to the Celebration. Military rites will take place at the conclusion of the services.
