He was born July 19, 1950 in Peoria to John and Mary (Haynes) Starr. He married Sandra Irwin on June 19, 1971 in Peoria. She survives
Also surviving are his mother, Mary Starr and his son, Nathan, both of Peoria.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Bill was the manager of the Eagle Food Store in East Peoria for many years. He then opened the store Books & Stuff in East Peoria and lastly was a manager for Huck’s Convenient Stores in Peoria.
He will be remembered as being a hardcore St. Louis Cardinal’s and Beatles fan.
Visitation will be from 4:30-6:00 pm Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Funeral services will follow immediately at 6:00 pm with the Rev. Bob Martin officiating. Burial will be Thursday at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
