Willie Lynn Williams

Willie Lynn Williams, age 69, of Peoria, passed away Friday Oct. 31, 2014 at 2:56 a.m. at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born July 27, 1945 in Scooba, MS to John and Paralee (Hill) Dunnigan. She married Ivery Williams Dec. 20, 1980 in Peoria. He survives along with three sons: David Duncan III of Carmel, IN, Sean Duncan of Peoria, Ivery Williams, Jr of Fort Worth, TX, one daughter, Jennifer Mack of Peoria, numerous grandchildren, two brothers: Marshall Dunnigan of Peoria, Raymond Dunnigan of Peoria, two sisters: Johnnie Mae Dunnigan of Peoria, and Myrtlene (Pastor Joseph Cherry) of Peoria. Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Terrance Duncan, and one brother, John Dunnigan, Jr. Lynn worked at Caterpillar, Inc. as an Engineering Secretary for 27 years retiring in 1994. She was a member and very active at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Peoria for over 50 years. At her church she served as a Deaconess, a Trustee, and was the head of the food pantry until her health failed. Funeral services will be Wednesday Nov. 5, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Pastor Alfonzo Lyons will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
