Charles "Chuck" E. Newman

Charles E. “Chuck” Newman, 67, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was born on July 15, 1945 in Toledo to Charles E. and Eileen R. (Johnstone) Newman. He married Barbara Roach on April 8, 2006 in Toledo, Ohio.

Chuck, also known as the Professor, was a longtime Harley Rider, traveling all over the United States on his bike. He was a Blues music aficionado. Chuck was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Newman, daughter, Holly (Justin) Newman DeWitt, grandson, Sebastian DeWitt, sister, Laurie (Hank) Proball, nephews, Brian and Scott Proball, step-children, David (Kristine) Roach, Diane (Skip) Louy, step-grandchildren, Tia, Amber, and John Louy and step-great granddaughter, Codi. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Friends will be received from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, March 8, 2013 in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E.S. Boundary St., Perrysburg, Ohio, 419-874-3133 where funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Beth Giller officiating. Burial will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the American Lung Association.
